About the Cartoons Nick Kim's cartoons have appeared on the web since about 1994, and in print form in quite a number of (mainly science-related) publications, including: The Annals of Improbable Research, Physics Today, Chemical Innovation, New Scientist, Skeptic (UK), Chemistry in Australia, and New Zealand Science Monthly. In addition, a cartoon calendar has been produced by the School of Science and Technology at the University of Waikato every year since 1995.
Use of the Cartoons The cartoons that appear on this site are all freely available for any non-profit or educational use that you may have in mind. Some commercial uses are also fine, and one common example is inclusion in company or industry newsletters. Other typical uses have included images on T-shirts, in lecture notes and laboratory manuals, and in textbooks. If you feel that your intended use falls into one of the categories listed above, there's no need to contact me for permission to reprint the image--just go ahead and enjoy yourself! If you're unsure, or if your company policy requires written permission from the artist (or just for general feedback) Nick can be contacted by email at: nick@nearingzero.net.
